LGU Moncada Celebrates the Elderly Filipino Week

To show compassion to the golden agers, senior citizens from the different barangays of Moncada came together to celebrate Elderly Filipino Week in a truly special way.
The highlight of the celebration was when senior citizens aged 90 years and above received a generous financial gift of ₱9,000 each as incentive for reaching the said age, in line with the Municipal Ordinance No. 4, series of 2020, otherwise known as the “Longevity Bonus Ordinance” of the municipality.
During her message, Mayor Estelita M. Aquino encouraged the Senior Presidents of each barangay further. She emphasized the importance of making sure that the names of all eligible senior citizens were submitted on time. This, she said, would guarantee that each and every senior citizen aged 90 and above would be included in this program.
Additionally, the Outstanding Senior Citizen Presidents from different barangays were recognized for working tirelessly for the betterment of their fellow senior citizens.
