Former National Historical Commission of the Philippines Commissioner and retired Tarlac State University professor Dr. Lino L. Dizon launched the monograph about Moncada town’s history on Monday (May 5) at the Luis Morales Park Auditorium in the municipality of Moncada.
The book titled “San Ramon’s Moncada: A Town’s History” is a monograph covering the beginnings of Moncada from 1874-1908. It is a product of the Center for Community and Local Governance Studies and Policy Development’s extension project in collaboration with the local government of Moncada.
Moncada Mayor Estelita Aquino thanked TSU for their unwavering support and dedication in pushing through with the project and putting forward Moncada’s history, which is backed by Dr. Dizon and the archival team’s research.
Moncada Heritage Project Head Asst. Prof. Bryan Jan S. Dizon, in a message delivered by Dr. Ninez B. Tulo, noted that the book marks the formal recognition of Moncada’s founding date, emphasizing the town’s 151st founding anniversary last May 1, 2025.
