CLRAA Update: Latest News for the CLRAA Meet 2024

Team mastery unleashed in the 2024 CLRAA Synchronized Likha Anyo
MONCADA, Tarlac – A series of individual and team Arnis Anyo performances from the arnisadors of Region 3 lit up the Moncada Public Auditorium on the second day of the 2024 CLRAA Arnis Competition, April 30. Boys from elementary and secondary schools simultaneously took the courts for the Individual Likha Anyo Double Weapon, igniting the day with excitement. The girls in both divisions’ Individual Likha Anyo Espada y Daga performances came right after this. The boys’ individual demonstrations with their model swords and daggers ended in the morning.
After her final solo performance, grade six arnisador Abby Grace E. Gabon from Gabaldon Elementary School in Gerona stated in an interview, “Masaya po akong makarating sa CLRAA at isa po sa mga mga representative ng Tarlac Province. I have a few events that I would like to share with the team categories that are mixed and synchronized.”
In the afternoon, team categories were lit on fire on both courts.
“Bilang coach po nila, masaya po ako dahil binibigay po ng ating mga arnis player ang lahat ng makakaya nila,” Coach Merlita B. Ibarra shared.
“Napaka- supportive din po ng school, ng community, at ng LGU sa mga athletes. Ang tagline nga po ng school namin ay ‘Kooperasyon, Dedikasyon, One Gabaldon’,” added Coach Ibarra.
But the planned resumption of activities at 1:00 in the afternoon was rescheduled due to the scorching heat. The decision to reschedule the tournament to 4:00 PM was made by the tournament managers, coaches, and officiating officials after considering everyone’s safety, especially the student-athletes.
The strategic consensus was reached to provide athletes with a more suitable and comfortable environment.
As the competition resumed, each team of arnisadors—comprising of three players—displayed their mastery of the Philippine National Martial Art and Sport in an amazing demonstration of skill and collaboration. Girls from elementary and secondary schools performed Synchronized Likha Anyo Single Weapon and Double Weapon routines to show off their talent and teamwork. In the meantime, the boys competing in elementary and secondary school demonstrated their skills in the Synchronized Likha Anyo Single Weapon division.
The remaining team categories, along with the elimination round for the Full Contact in the secondary division, are scheduled to take place on the following day.
