BELENISMO NG MONCADA 2018 (GREATEST GIFT OF ALL LIFE TO ETERNAL)

NATIVITY. The birth of JESUS CHRIST, Every year we see depictions the birth of JESUS CHRIST. Different sizes, forms and materials used. Reminds us that Christmas is just around the corner. But do you know the real meaning of Nativity of Belen? It’s all about LOVE; not just love. But UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son. That whoever believes in Him shall not be perish but have ETERNAL LIFE.” (John 3:16)

Our Belenismo this year are made of indigenous, old recyclable materials such as metals, woods, plastics, boards, plastic and glass bottles. Taken from our Moncada waste and Management Program Plus it showcases our town’s local products.

There are Six Grand Christmas Trees signifying that “We come nearer to God and He will come near to you.” (James 4:8). These trees Sculpted with old recycled materials from waste management program full of light ornaments representing restoration to it’s fullnest. “Restore us, O God make your face shine on us that we may be saved.” (Psalm 80:3). At the center, behind Jesus. Mary and Joseph a composition of plastic bottles with lights representing our Savior Jesus. “I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness. But will have the light of life.” (john 8:12). And around those trees there are hanging recycle bottle jars containing prayers and petitions. “I call on you my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer” (Psalm 17:6)

Who would have thought that these old materials from waste sculpted and formed together with grandness of size and lights all over will stand tall in a new form? “Therefore of anyone is in Christ, then the new creation has come; the old has gone, the new is here.” (2 Corinthians 5:7). There is always a chance for each one of us, change for the better and shine again with our savior.

Merriest Christmas and A Blessed New Year to all !!!
