
47TH SHIP FOR SOUTHEAST ASIAN AND JAPANESE YOUTH PROGRAM (SSEAYP)
SSEAYP is an annual cultural exchange program, spearheaded by the Cabinet Office of Japan, which started in 1974 by virtue of a Joint Statement between the ASEAN Member States and Japan that seek to promote goodwill, friendship and mutual understanding among the countries.
The National Youth Commission (NYC) is formally announcing the opening of applications for the 47th Ship for the Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP),
Each country selects 28 participating youth ( 18-30 years old) who will convene in Japan onboard the Japanese luxury liner MS Nippon Maru to embark on a 52-day cruise to ASEAN Member States for port call activities, discussion and voluntary activities, Solidarity Group (SG) activities, Participating Youth (PY) seminars, and interactions with other youth participants.
Participants from the country representing the 17 regions will be selected by the National Youth Commission (NYC), in cooperation with the partner agencies.
