2023 PROVINCIAL AWARDING CELEBRATES EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCE OF LUPON TAGAPAMAYAPA, ANTI-DRUG ABUSE COUNCILS, AND PEACE AND ORDER COUNCILS IN TARLAC
On September 14, 2023, the Province of Tarlac gathered at the New Sangguniang Panlalawigan Building, Capitol Grounds, Tarlac City, to honor the exceptional contributions and dedication of local communities in promoting peace, order, and safety within the Province through the 2023 Provincial Awarding on Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards, High Functional Anti-Drug Abuse Councils, and Functional Peace and Order Councils. This momentous event was made possible through the efforts of the Provincial Government of Tarlac led by Governor Susan A. Yap and the Department of the Interior and Local Government-Tarlac, headed by Provincial Director, Armi V. Bactad.
The Provincial Awarding ceremony was a testament to the commitment and hard work of the various Lupons, Local Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs), and Peace and Order Councils (POCs) across Tarlac. These local organizations have consistently demonstrated their unwavering dedication to ensuring the well-being and security of their communities.
In this year’s 2023 Provincial Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards, Provincial Awardees per category who received plaques of recognition and cash incentives were as follows:
City Category: Provincial Winner- Barangay San Carlos, Tarlac City
1st – 3rd Class Municipality Category: Provincial Winner – Barangay O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac
2nd Placer: Barangay Sto. Rosario, Capas, Tarlac
3rd Placer: Barangay Camposanto 1 Norte, Moncada, Tarlac
4th to 5th Class Municipality Category: Provincial Winner- Barangay Poblacion Norte, San Clemente, Tarlac
2nd Placer: Barangay San Juan, Anao, Tarlac
Meanwhile, 100% or 18 out of 18 local government units (LGUs) of Tarlac were awarded with their respective plaques of recognitions for garnering High Functionality ratings during the Provincial ADAC and POC Audits.
The ever-supportive Local Chief Executives, Vice Mayors and other LGU representatives were present during the awarding, alongside the hardworking Local Government Operations Officers of the 18 LGUs.
These outstanding communities demonstrated exceptional commitment to fostering peaceful and well-ordered environments, effectively addressing drug-related issues, and actively promoting the welfare of their residents. Through their unwavering dedication and remarkable initiatives, they have set a shining example for other barangays and municipalities to follow.
