Municipal Mayor Estelita M. Aquino introduced the newly appointed Moncada Police Officer-in-Charge, Police Major Damaso G. Feliciano, Jr. to Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members headed by Hon. Jaime O. Duque,
Municipal Vice Mayor and the 37 Punong Barangays led by Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) President Dr. George R. Cuchapin, today, January 11, 2021 at Moncada Public Auditorium.
PMaj Feliciano, 44, from Quezon, Nueva Ecija has been previously assigned as a Chief of Police in Nueva Ecija. He was then transferred to Tarlac and has worked as an officer in the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office and Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (AIDSOTF).
According to PMaj Feliciano, working with different Municipal Mayors has brought him remarkable and good relationship with them, which he expects that same harmonious relationship would be forged with Moncada LGU led by Mayor Estelita M. Aquino, to strengthen the town’s resolve in promoting its peace and order advocacies.
Furthermore, he wants to be a hands-on Chief of Police who will roam around the community to learn and discover more about Moncada and its people.
His priority while in service for Moncadenians is to strengthen the eradication of illegal drugs in order to continue the legacy of Moncada being hailed as “unaffected drug-maintained awardee” by the DILG.
“Drugs are the roots of all evil,” Feliciano said. “In line with this, I will make sure to do my best in serving Moncada,” he further mentioned.
In addition, Mrs. Aimee L. Tavisora, Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) of DILG Moncada Field Office, also welcomed the new PNP OIC. During her address, Mrs. Tavisora also emphasized peace and order as one of the key indicators to qualify for the Seal of Good Local Governance. She therefore reminded all Punong Barangays, together with their respective Barangay Secretaries to submit the necessary requirements to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a bid to achieve a drug-free municipality.
As Mayor Aquino brings her message to a close, she reiterated to the Punong Barangays and Sangguniang Bayan the importance of strict compliance to the requirements and health protocols for Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) and Authorized Person Outside Residence (APOR) to avoid the local transmission of COVID-19.
