The 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Moncada, in its 7th Regular Session held on August 26, 2025, passed several landmark measures aimed at strengthening youth and sports development, employment opportunities, and efficient public services for Moncadenians through digitalization.
Among the approved measures was the SCORE Ordinance, which institutionalizes a sports calendar and fair regulations for the systematic conduct of leagues in the municipality. The measure was principally authored by MFSK President Erven B. Prado.
The Sanggunian also adopted youth and labor focused measures filed by Coun. Jayvee B. Natividad, including the regular updating of out-of-school youth database by SK officials, the designation of SK Chairpersons as heads of Barangay Committees on Labor and Employment, and the establishment of Barangay Public Employment and Service Desks (Barangay PESO Desk) under the Moncada Livelihood and Employment Assistance Program (MLEAP) Ordinance.
In support of community participation, six Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) were formally accredited, further strengthening participatory governance. The body likewise authorized the Municipal Government, through Mayor Ramon Benito M. Aquino, to partner with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for LGU service automation (e-LGU) and with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for the turnover of Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data which would help enhance the planning process within the LGU.
These legislative outputs highlight the Sanggunianโs continuing commitment to responsive and inclusive governance, and the articulation of the peopleโs will and aspirations. ###
